Red Clover by NOW is an herbal supplement that contains 375mg of red clover blossoms per capsule. Red Clover is a flowering plant that flourishes in meadows and fields throughout Europe, North America and northern and central Asia. It is mentioned in the traditional medical texts of both Eastern and Western civilizations for a variety of ailments.

Modern research has shown that Red Clover, like other legumes, contains a group of phytoestrogen compounds called isoflavones. Phytoestrogens are naturally occurring compounds found in Red clover and other plants that are structurally related to human estrogens.

Researchers have found that isoflavones may act as anti-estrogens and actually compete with estradiol at the cell binding site. This characteristic and others may be responsible for Red Clovers ability to support healthy estrogen levels during menopause. The four major isoflavones identified in Red clover are Genistein, Biochanin A, Diadzein and Formonnetin.

Take 2 capsules 2 to 3 times daily as needed.
